About Stade de France
Stade de France, which means Stadium of France, is the country's national stadium, in Saint-Denis, a commune just north of Paris. With 81,338 seats, it is the biggest stadium in France. France's national football side and its rugby union teams play their international matches here. For athletics it is Europe's largest, with 77,083 seats in that setup. At other events the track is mostly hidden beneath the stands, and a movable stand can slide back to reveal part of it.
It was created ahead of the 1998 FIFA World Cup, and its name came from a suggestion by the French football legend Michel Platini, after the Ministry of Sport launched a naming competition in December 1995. Work began on May 2, 1995, and the first stone was set on September 6; the total cost was €364 million. Its opening took place on January 28, 1998, as France played Spain in a friendly, winning 1–0. On July 12, 1998, the stadium hosted the World Cup final, in which France defeated Brazil 3–0.
Champions League finals took place there in 2000, 2006 and 2022, and Rugby World Cup tournaments in 1999, 2007 and 2023 used it as a venue. It is one of just two stadiums, with Nissan Stadium in Yokohama, to have staged a final of both the FIFA World Cup and the rugby union World Cup. Seven matches of UEFA Euro 2016 were played there, among them the final, which Portugal won 1–0 against France after extra time. For the 2024 Summer Olympics and Paralympics it hosted athletics and the closing ceremonies, and the Olympic rugby sevens.
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 750 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
| Print size | Landmark height | Scale |
|---|---|---|
| 160 mm default | 15 mm | 1:4,688 |
| 200 mm | 19 mm | 1:3,750 |

- Thin struts above the rim
- Slender radial struts rise above the edge of the ring roof like small spikes. Print slowly with good cooling, and try Print friendly so the thinnest tips adapt to the print scale.
- A wide, shallow oval
- The stadium is a broad, low oval with a gently sloped roof. Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep the sloped surface smooth, and a larger print gives the roof ribs more room.
- One piece with the ground
- Stade de France is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Stade de France takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About this model
Stade de France is one of more than 2,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
Common questions
Is there a Stade de France STL I can download?
Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.
How big can I print it?
Any print size from 40 mm across. Stade de France grows with the print: about 15 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.
Is it free?
Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
