About the Stade Marcel-Michelin
Since it opened in 1911, the Stade Marcel-Michelin in Clermont-Ferrand, France, has been home to ASM Clermont-Auvergne, a French rugby union club. That year, on Marcel Michelin's initiative, the tire company Michelin paid for a rugby ground on the Avenue de la République in the city center. Marcel Michelin founded the Association Sportive Michelin and was the son of the Michelin company's founder, and the stadium carries his name. It belongs to the club but stands on land leased from Michelin.
The ground hosts the club's Top 14 home games and some international matches, among them France versus Romania in 1977, France versus Australia in 1983, and the French Barbarians against Samoa in 2013. It also staged the Under 21 Rugby World Cup of 2006, where France beat South Africa to take the title. Clermont Football Club played there between 1984 and 1988.
Four stands joined at the corners form a rectangle, with long stands on the east and west, the Phliponeau stand on the north and Espace Édouard to the south. The VIP stand dates from 1968 and seats 5,600, a second stand from 1999 seats 7,560, and the Phliponeau stand seats 3,000. Joining the corners in 2011 completed the present design, and in 2013 heating cables laid under the pitch gave the club the first heated turf among Top 14 clubs.
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
| Print size | Landmark height | Scale |
|---|---|---|
| 160 mm default | 10 mm | 1:3,750 |
| 200 mm | 13 mm | 1:3,000 |
| 256 mm | 17 mm | 1:2,344 |

- Slim corner masts
- Thin floodlight masts rise at the corners of the stands. Print friendly adapts them to the print scale, while Full detail keeps them on larger prints or with a fine nozzle.
- Lattice facade and roof edges
- One stand has a diagonal lattice on its outer wall, and the roofs have sharp edges. Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep both crisp, and a larger print size keeps more detail.
- One piece with the ground
- The Stade Marcel-Michelin is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Stade Marcel-Michelin takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About this model
The Stade Marcel-Michelin is one of more than 2,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
Common questions
Is there a Stade Marcel-Michelin STL I can download?
Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.
How big can I print it?
Any print size from 40 mm across. The Stade Marcel-Michelin grows with the print: about 10 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.
Is it free?
Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
