9 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Large blocks, simple walls
Most of this model is large, simple blocks with flat roofs and plain walls, so there is little fragile detail. Print friendly is usually enough; a larger print adds the window rows.
- One piece with the ground
The Staller Center for the Arts is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Staller Center for the Arts takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Staller Center for the Arts
Stony Brook University’s main arts building is the Staller Center for the Arts, on the main campus in New York State. It was first the Fine Arts Center of Stony Brook University and was renamed in October 1988 after the Staller family gave $1.8 million, the largest private donation the university had received to that point.
The center has two main divisions: one houses the music and art departments, the other the theater, media and dance departments. Inside are a recital hall, three black-box theaters, a professional performance stage with a 40-foot movie screen, and the Paul W. Zuccaire Gallery, a space of 5,000 square feet for professional and student exhibitions. Since 1996 the center has put on the Stony Brook Film Festival each year; it runs for ten days, with its films shown in the Main Stage theater.
About this model
The Staller Center for the Arts is one of more than 4,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
