3 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Conical tower roof
The round corner tower ends in a thin conical roof with a small tip. Print slowly with good cooling, and use Print friendly at small sizes so the tip survives.
- One piece with the ground
The Summit Playhouse is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Summit Playhouse takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Summit Playhouse
Summit, New Jersey, has a theater called the Summit Playhouse, and its resident group counts among the oldest amateur community theaters across the United States that have operated without a break. The company produces one new show every calendar season. The building it uses began life as something quite different: the first library of the town.
Arthur Bates Jennings designed the original stone building in the Romanesque style, and it was constructed in 1891. In 1900 a Summit Public Library, run by the municipality, came into being, and in 1910 the library moved elsewhere. That left the Romanesque building under-used, though it still belonged to the library.
The Playhouse Association began in 1918 as a relief group for World War I. The Summit Library Association let the group have the empty building for a rent of one dollar per year across the following fifty years. In 1960 an auditorium seating 120 was added, and the 1891 original became the stage. Ownership passed to the theater in 1968.
About this model
The Summit Playhouse is one of more than 4,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
