8 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Long curved roof
The arched roof is a gentle curve covered in fine ribs. A layer height of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keeps the curve smooth and the ribs crisp.
- Entrance front detail
The pedimented front has a tall arched window and shallow brick detailing. Print friendly adapts these to your print scale, while Full detail suits a larger print.
- One piece with the ground
Teaneck Armory is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Teaneck Armory takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Teaneck Armory
Teaneck Armory in Teaneck, New Jersey, serves as both armory and arena. The New Jersey National Guard owns and operates it, and it covers 13.66 acres (55,300 m2). Completed in 1936 for $1 million, the building was the design of Louis S. Kaplan, who won a design competition for the Trenton War Memorial while still a young architect and went on to be the state's leading architect until the early 1960s.
In 1967 and 1968 the arena hosted the New Jersey Americans, an American Basketball Association team that later became the Brooklyn Nets. The Americans had to forfeit a 1968 playoff game with the Kentucky Colonels. A circus group had booked the armory that week, and the substitute venue was Long Island Arena, located in Commack, New York, whose floor was in poor enough condition to be judged unplayable.
The big open floor and high ceiling have attracted film crews, including those for Stonewall, Bogus, You've Got Mail and Sweet and Lowdown. Other events there have included Boy Scout jamborees, circuses, indoor soccer, professional wrestling, concerts and three-quarter midget car races. John F. Kennedy, then a presidential candidate, held a campaign rally at the armory on November 6, 1960.
