Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Arches and cornice

The five sixth-floor arches, dentil cornice and parapet vents carry the finest detail. Print friendly adapts them for a small print; Full detail suits a larger model or a fine nozzle.

  2. Brick facade relief

Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep the brick piers, stacked window heads and stone belt courses crisp on the two ornamental street fronts.

  3. One piece with the ground

The Texas School Book Depository is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Texas School Book Depository takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Texas School Book Depository

The Texas School Book Depository is a seven-story building that faces Dealey Plaza in downtown Dallas, Texas. Its address is 411 Elm Street, where Elm meets North Houston Street on the northwest corner in downtown Dallas. Lee Harvey Oswald was employed there when he assassinated President Kennedy on November 22, 1963.

A wagon shop stood on the property in the 1880s. In 1894 the land passed to the Rock Island Plow Company, which four years later put up a five-story block for the Southern Rock Island Plow Company, its Texas division. Lightning set it alight in 1901, nearly destroying it. The 1902 reconstruction used the Commercial Romanesque Revival style and took the building to seven stories.

In 1963 the Texas School Book Depository Company ran a textbook warehouse across several floors of the building. Official inquiries found that Oswald fired from a window at the southeast corner of the sixth floor. Dallas County purchased the property in 1977 and turned the bottom five floors into government offices. The sixth floor became a museum in 1989.
