530 m of the Tianjin CTF Finance Centre, 142 mm on your shelf
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Curved tower, fine layers
The model is a tall, curving tower. Print it large so the taper and vertical lines stay smooth, and keep layers at 0.12 to 0.16 mm; Print friendly adapts thin edges at small sizes.
- One piece with the ground
The Tianjin CTF Finance Centre is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Tianjin CTF Finance Centre takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Tianjin CTF Finance Centre
Tianjin CTF Finance Centre, a supertall tower, stands in the Binhai New Area of Tianjin, China, within the Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area. Work started in 2013, and the building was finished in 2019. It rises 530 m (1,740 ft) with 97 floors, making it the tallest building worldwide with fewer than 100 floors, the eighth-tallest in the world and the second-tallest in the city, behind the unfinished Goldin Finance 117.
Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP designed it with Ronald Lu & Partners. A gently curving glass facade incorporates eight sloping mega-columns that trace a line through the centers and corners of the four elevations. The arrangement stiffens the perimeter frame, contributes to both the gravity and lateral systems, and improves the building's seismic resilience.
The floor plates shrink as the tower rises, tapering it to reduce the surface exposed to wind, sun and moisture. Its plan is square with rounded corners, and the profile is shaped to break up vortex shedding, the wind effect that can set up resonance. The building received the Tall/Slender Structure award from the Institution of Structural Engineers in 2021.
