14 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Tall slender spire
A thin spire with a cross on top rises above the entrance tower. Print friendly adapts it to the print scale; Full detail keeps it on a larger print, and printing slowly with good cooling helps the tip.
- Columned front porch
Slim columns hold up the porch at the front. A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm keeps them crisp.
- One piece with the ground
Trinity & St. Philip's Cathedral, Newark is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Trinity & St. Philip's Cathedral, Newark takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Trinity & St. Philip's Cathedral, Newark
Trinity & St. Philip's Cathedral, a historic church, sits in Newark's Military Park, in Essex County, New Jersey, where Broad Street meets Rector Street. Newark's Episcopal diocese has its seat at the cathedral. The church building's listing on the National Register of Historic Places dates from November 3, 1972, and recognizes its significance in architecture and religion.
Visiting priests held the first services for colonists in Newark from 1729. The colonists organized Trinity Church and in 1743 built a small stone church with a steeple. King George II granted a charter in 1746. In the American Revolutionary War the building served as a hospital for British and American troops and was damaged; the building that stands today was then planned and built, and it was completed in 1810.
Trinity Church became a cathedral in 1944, and in 1857 a chancel and sanctuary had been added at the east end. In 1964 a fire destroyed St. Philip's, a parish whose members were predominantly African American, and the two congregations merged two years later. The Very Rev. Dillard Robinson became dean in 1968, the first African American cathedral dean in the United States. "St. Philip's" joined the cathedral's name in 1992.
