Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Tall stack, slow print

At the default size this is a tall, narrow model, so slow the outer walls and keep cooling on for the upper section. Print friendly simplifies the finest parts; Full detail suits a larger print.

  2. One piece with the ground

Two Prudential Plaza is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Two Prudential Plaza takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About Two Prudential Plaza

The tower at Two Prudential Plaza rises 64 stories in Chicago's Loop, in Illinois. It stands 303 m (995 ft) tall, five feet short of 1,000 feet, the closest of any building under that mark. Without its spire, the tower still rises slightly higher than the pinnacle of One Prudential Plaza. Construction started in 1988 and the tower was completed in 1990, and the building has been attached to One Prudential Plaza since 1992.

The design came from Loebl Schlossman & Hackl; Stephen T. Wright was principal in charge. Its silhouette steps inward in chevron-shaped setbacks on the north and south faces, rises to a pyramidal peak turned 45 degrees, and finishes in a 24 m (80 ft) spire. At completion it stood as the tallest reinforced concrete building in the world, and it has won eight awards, including a Best Structure Award in 1995.
