Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Curved front with columns

Slim columns and a recessed entry curve along the front. Print friendly adapts these thin parts to the print scale; Full detail keeps them on a larger print.

  2. Parapet and rooftop details

A low parapet edge and small rooftop boxes sit on the flat roof. A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm and a bigger print size keep them crisp.

  3. One piece with the ground

The United States Post Office, Greenwich is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The United States Post Office, Greenwich takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the United States Post Office, Greenwich

This former post office is in downtown Greenwich, Connecticut, at 310 Greenwich Avenue. It dates from 1915 and is considered a good example of Classical Revival design; its plan is distinctive and comes from before the Postal Service standardized its buildings. It sits on a triangular lot where Greenwich Avenue meets Arch Street, and a war memorial stands in a small public park out front.

The building seems to be among the last from a period when government buildings were designed one at a time, as monuments carrying Federal ideas and refined architecture to small communities. Post offices built later were standardized. It has a single story of masonry: a steel frame faced with brick and stone.

The front faces the street intersection as a curved wall, with the entry set back in a recess. Six Corinthian columns hold up that recess, and a parapet with balustrade elements crowns it. The National Register of Historic Places listed the building in 1986; it also belongs to the Greenwich Municipal Center Historic District, listed in 1988, and to the Greenwich Avenue Historic District.
