Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Low, flat-roofed building
The post office is a low building with a flat roof and a rear wing, and it sits among streets and larger buildings. A bigger print size keeps its outline and small details; Full detail keeps every modeled feature.
- One piece with the ground
United States Post Office, Suffern is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. United States Post Office, Suffern takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About United States Post Office, Suffern
Suffern, New York, has a post office on Chestnut Street, in the stretch between NY 59 and US 202, along the northern edge of downtown Suffern's business district. It carries ZIP Code 10901 for the village. The village's first post office dates to 1797 and was set up by founding settler John Suffern, but it fell into disuse a decade later.
The present building went up during the New Deal. The land was bought in 1935 for $20,000, and the post office itself was built the next year for $90,000. The Treasury's Supervising Architect, Louis Simon, gave it an austere Colonial Revival design, while the building also reflects the Streamline Moderne style that predominated in the late 1930s.
It is a steel frame structure of one story and five bays, faced in buff brick, with a square plan, a rear wing and a flat roof. Inside, a relief by sculptor Elliot Means hangs over the entrance of the postmaster's office, one of the many public artworks the Section of Painting and Sculpture commissioned. The building earned a National Register of Historic Places listing in 1989.
