  1. Minaret and dome

A minaret and a dome are the features to watch on a mosque model. Print the minaret slowly with good cooling, and use 0.12–0.16 mm layers to keep the dome's curve crisp.

  2. One piece with the ground

The Vienna Islamic Centre is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Vienna Islamic Centre takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Vienna Islamic Centre

The Vienna Islamic Centre is the largest mosque in Austria. It stands in Floridsdorf, the 21st district of Vienna, on a plot of 8,300 m2 (89,000 ft2) that the city's Islamic community bought from the city in 1969 in order to build a mosque.

Financial difficulties delayed the start of construction several times. In 1975, King Faisal bin Abdulaziz al Saud of Saudi Arabia promised to finance the building. Richard Lugner became general contractor, work began on July 1, 1977, and President of Austria Rudolf Kirchschläger inaugurated the mosque on November 20, 1979.

The minaret rises 32 m (105 ft), taller than the dome. The dome is 16 m (52 ft) high and 20 m (66 ft) in diameter, and together they give the mosque its outline. Its architectural style is Islamic architecture.
