Make this print opens the generator on a 1000 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Long, low canopies

A big station like this is wide and low, with long roof lines doing most of the work in the silhouette. A larger print helps those lines, and 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers keep them straight.

  2. Slow passes along the roof

The station's long roof runs carry the thinnest parts of the model. Printing those long sweeps slowly keeps the roofs even and the edge clean.

  3. One piece with the ground

Wien Hauptbahnhof is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Wien Hauptbahnhof takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About Wien Hauptbahnhof

Vienna's main railway station, Wien Hauptbahnhof, stands in the Favoriten district of the Austrian capital. Full operation began in December 2015, when it joined the main routes approaching Vienna from all four directions and took the place of the old Wien Südbahnhof terminus. The station is a single structure with through platforms, built to handle more trains a day in less space than the termini it replaced.

Plans took shape in the 1990s, when the right-angled Südbahnhof and Ostbahnhof termini were to be replaced by one integrated station serving north–south and east–west routes. An initial design contract went to Theo Hotz Architects and Planners, a Zurich firm, and that office was responsible for a large part of the station as built, its main concourse and the platforms among them. The city council approved construction on December 15, 2006, and the station was formally inaugurated on October 10, 2014, by President Heinz Fischer.

Five island platforms, each with two sides, give the station 10 platforms under canopies about 210 meters long and between 6 and 15 meters (20 and 49 ft) high, carried on steel frames and concrete supports. Below track level sits a shopping center of 20,000 square meters (220,000 sq ft) with around 100 shops and restaurants, and a car park holds as many as 600 cars and 1,110 bicycles. The station also keeps a sculpture of the Lion of St Mark that came from the old Südbahnhof.

About this model

Wien Hauptbahnhof is one of more than 4,400 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release.
