About Xiaomi Arena

Xiaomi Arena, once named Arena Riga, is an indoor sports and concert arena in Riga, Latvia. It is used mainly for ice hockey, basketball and concerts. Its maximum capacity is 14,500, and it opened on February 15, 2006. It was built as a venue for the 2006 IIHF World Championship, alongside Skonto Arena, the other venue. Stadium Consultants International (SCI Architects), a company from Canada, designed the arena, together with SIA Merks and SIA Nams, two Latvian firms. Construction was delayed by disagreements over the construction contract and by the search for funding from an investor.

The Latvian national ice hockey team has called the arena home since it opened. Dinamo Riga of the Kontinental Hockey League has played there since 2008, and Latvia's national basketball teams for men and for women have used it since 2006. Part of the 2006 NATO Summit took place there. The arena hosted matches of EuroBasket Women 2009 and 2019 and the D group of EuroBasket 2015, and the 2012 All-Star Game of the Kontinental Hockey League was held there.

How it prints

Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

Landmark height and scale at three print sizes
Print size Landmark height Scale
160 mm default 9 mm 1:3,750
200 mm 12 mm 1:3,000
256 mm 15 mm 1:2,344

Slim mast at one corner
A slender mast rises at one corner of the arena. Print friendly adapts it to your print scale; printing slowly with good cooling helps thin parts like this hold their shape.
Large smooth arched roof
The wide arched roof is smooth. Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm show the curve cleanly, and a bigger print keeps the small rooftop boxes along its edge.
One piece with the ground
Xiaomi Arena is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Xiaomi Arena takes the building color.
File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About this model

Xiaomi Arena is one of more than 2,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.

Common questions

Is there a Xiaomi Arena STL I can download?

Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.

How big can I print it?

Any print size from 40 mm across. Xiaomi Arena grows with the print: about 9 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.

Is it free?

Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
