15 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 750 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Tent peaks and open roof
The tent peaks, sagging ridges and open roof are the largest shapes. A bigger print keeps the roof opening and entrance portals clean; Print friendly simplifies small detail.
- Roof edges and layer height
The peaks and long ridge lines are the finest part of the roof. Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep them crisp, and a slower print helps the tall outer walls.
- One piece with the ground
Al Bayt Stadium is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Al Bayt Stadium takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Al Bayt Stadium
Al Bayt Stadium stands in Al Khor, Qatar, as a football ground with a retractable roof, 35 km (22 mi) outside Doha. The shape draws on the tents used by nomadic peoples in Qatar and the region, and the four stands are clad in a PTFE woven fiberglass membrane whose exterior is colored black, white and red. A retractable roof connects the stands and provides covered seating for all spectators.
It staged the 2022 World Cup's opening game, plus a quarter-final and a semi-final. It hosted nine matches during the 2022 World Cup. It held around 60,000 World Cup fans within a gross capacity of 71,000, including 1,000 press seats. It was inaugurated on November 30, 2021, for the opening of the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup.
It was one of eight venues at the 2022 World Cup and second in size only to Lusail Stadium. The construction contract went to Galfar al-Misnad, Webuild and Cimolai in 2015, and Dar Al-Handasah designed the stadium. The site has parking for 6,000 cars and 350 buses, and the stadium received a five-star GSAS rating.
