Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Fine ribs across the roof

The broad roof is covered in fine horizontal ribs. A layer height of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keeps them crisp, and Print friendly may smooth them at small sizes, while Full detail keeps them on a larger print.

  2. Lettering on the east wall

Small lettering runs along the east face. A larger print size keeps it readable, and Full detail keeps more of it than Print friendly.

  3. One piece with the ground

Allen Fieldhouse is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Allen Fieldhouse takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About Allen Fieldhouse

Allen Fieldhouse sits on the campus of the University of Kansas (KU) in Lawrence, Kansas. It is an indoor arena where the Kansas Jayhawks play basketball, both the men's team and the women's team. It is named for Phog Allen, who played for the Jayhawks and later served as their head coach for 39 years, and its nickname, The Phog, also honors him. The playing surface is named "James Naismith Court" for basketball's inventor, who established the KU basketball program and was its first coach, serving from 1898 to 1907.

Construction began in 1952 but quickly stalled, because a federal mandate restricted steel use after World War II and during the Korean War. University officials found a loophole: adding rooms for storing guns and weapons let the work continue as an "armory." Dedication came on March 1, 1955, in a ten-point win over rival Kansas State. Its original capacity was 17,000, and the largest basketball crowd, 17,228, came on that dedication day.

The arena set a Guinness World Record for loudest roar, at 130.4 dB, during a game with West Virginia on February 13, 2017. A banner telling all who enter to beware of the Phog nods to the arena's intimidating atmosphere and the team's dominance at home. Students made the original from dormitory shower curtains before a late-season game against Duke in 1988. The Day After, a 1983 ABC-TV movie, filmed a climactic hospital scene there.
