16 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 650 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Ring of thin vertical ribs
A ring of thin vertical ribs wraps the stepped seating bowl. Print friendly adapts thin parts like these to your print scale; Full detail keeps them, best on a larger print with 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers.
- Round ramp towers
Two round ramp towers with fine railings stand beside the stadium. Slower printing and a larger size help these small curved details come out clean.
- One piece with the ground
Ben Hill Griffin Stadium is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Ben Hill Griffin Stadium takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Ben Hill Griffin Stadium
Known popularly as "The Swamp", Ben Hill Griffin Stadium is the University of Florida's football stadium, in Gainesville, Florida. The Florida Gators football team plays its home games on the field. The stadium occupies the northern edge of the campus, with West University Avenue to its north, Stadium Road to its south and Gale Lemerand Drive to its west. An official capacity of 88,548 seats makes it the largest stadium in Florida, and attendance has often passed 90,000 for home games.
Florida Field, as it was first called, opened with 22,000 seats in time for the homecoming game against Alabama on November 8, 1930. Its site was a shallow ravine, and an underground stream nobody knew about began pouring water into the excavation until culverts diverted it. In 1934 the field was dedicated to Florida's servicemen who lost their lives in World War I. The university renamed the stadium in 1989 in honor of citrus magnate and alumnus Ben Hill Griffin, Jr., although the playing surface kept the name Florida Field.
The playing surface took Steve Spurrier's name on September 3, 2016; he had been a Florida quarterback and later its head coach. Spurrier is also the person who coined the nickname "The Swamp", in 1992. Numerous expansions and renovations followed the opening: capacity almost doubled to about 40,000 in 1949–1950, and a double-decked grandstand enclosed the south end zone in 1982. Since the 1960s, most of the university's athletic administrators have had offices under the west stands.
