17 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Twin roof cones
Two slim cones rise from the roof over the pitch. Print friendly adapts thin tips to the print scale, and slow printing with good cooling helps the points form cleanly.
- Ring of slender posts
A ring of thin posts circles the upper edge of the bowl. A larger print size and layers of 0.12–0.16 mm keep thin posts crisp.
- One piece with the ground
Estadio Ciudad de La Plata is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Estadio Ciudad de La Plata takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Estadio Ciudad de La Plata
Once called Estadio Ciudad de La Plata, the Estadio Único Diego Armando Maradona serves as a multi-purpose stadium in La Plata, Argentina. It is popularly called the Estadio Único, or Single Stadium, and Buenos Aires Province owns it. On opening day, June 7, 2003, it was regarded as "the most modern of Latin America", although not all the planned construction was finished. A small stadium for rugby union and a center for Physical Education also sit on its grounds.
Governor Domingo Mercante set the idea in motion in 1947 by expropriating land where Roads 32 and 25 meet, forming the La Plata Sports Complex. On April 21, 1992, a foundation with equal numbers of delegates from Estudiantes and Gimnasia was set up. In April 1993 the College of Architects and Engineers met to choose an architectural proposal, which went to Roberto Ferreira & Associates. In 1998 Governor Eduardo Duhalde and Mayor Julio Alak laid the first stone.
Estudiantes LP is a tenant, and its home ground, the Estadio Jorge Luis Hirschi, was ruled unsafe in 2005. Gimnasia y Esgrima LP, another tenant, returned to its original stadium in mid-2008. La Plata hosted six matches of the 2011 Copa América, including the opening game, and it was named as one of four host venues for the 2023 FIFA Under-20 World Cup, the final among them. After Diego Maradona died in November 2020 it was named for him.
