14 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Keep the seating steps crisp
The stands have closely spaced seating steps and small rooftop details. A larger print and 0.12–0.16 mm layers help preserve these features.
- Watch the poles and supports
Slender light poles rise above the stands, and narrow supports run beneath one seating section. Use Print friendly at smaller sizes; print slowly with cooling for the tall poles.
- One piece with the ground
Kidd Brewer Stadium is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Kidd Brewer Stadium takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Kidd Brewer Stadium
Kidd Brewer Stadium is a multipurpose sports venue in Boone, North Carolina. Its nickname is "The Rock." Appalachian State's Mountaineers football team plays its home games here. The stadium opened under the name Conrad Stadium on September 15, 1962, honoring William J. Conrad, a university trustee who also worked as an executive at R. J. Reynolds. It replaced College Field, where the Mountaineers had played from 1928 to 1961, when the team moved to another site on the university campus.
The name changed on September 3, 1988, to recognize Kidd Brewer, who coached the Mountaineers from 1935 to 1938. The venue was the first in the Carolinas to install artificial turf; Appalachian State and Elon played the region's first game on that surface on October 3, 1970. In 1979, a Mountaineers game against Western Carolina became ESPN's second televised college football game. Later changes included FieldTurf in 2003, removal of the surrounding track in 2020, and a north end zone complex that opened for the 2021 season's first home game.
