18 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 650 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Portrait panels on the attic
Two framed panels sit on the raised attic over the central colonnade, between towers with stepped caps. Print friendly adapts the small frames; Full detail keeps them for a larger print.
- Open lattice floodlight towers
Four open lattice masts rise above the rim at the corners, their lamp frames turned toward the field. Print them slowly with good cooling at 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers.
- One piece with the ground
Kim Il Sung Stadium is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Kim Il Sung Stadium takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Kim Il Sung Stadium
Kim Il Sung Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea, used mainly for association football matches. The Japanese built it in 1926 under the name Girimri Stadium, and between the 1920s and the 1940s the annual Kyung-Pyong Football Match was held there, a meeting of Kyungsung FC and Pyongyang FC.
After the division of Korea it became a venue for political speeches, and on October 14, 1945 Kim Il Sung gave his victory speech there after the liberation of Pyongyang. The Korean War of 1950–1953 wrecked much of the building, largely through U.S. bombing from the air over the capital. Rebuilding followed in 1969, when it was known as Moranbong Stadium, and a renovation in April 1982 gave it Kim Il Sung's name.
The ground serves North Korea's men's and women's national teams, plus Kigwancha Sports Club and Pyongyang City Sports Club, and until the 1990s it also hosted the mass games, which later moved to Rungnado May Day Stadium. The annual Pyongyang Marathon starts and finishes there. On October 2, 2019, 4.25 SC beat Hanoi FC there before 5,500 onlookers, the first North Korean club to reach an AFC Cup final.
