Make this print opens the generator on a 650 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Ring truss and raking columns

A white tubular truss circles the roof on pairs of raking columns, and its thin diagonals are the finest part of the print. Full detail keeps them; print slowly, with layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm.

  2. Roof opening and light paddles

The roof covers every seat and turns in to an oval opening, with triangular light paddles hung beneath it. Print friendly adapts these small hanging parts; a larger print keeps them distinct.

  3. One piece with the ground

London Stadium is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. London Stadium takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About London Stadium

London Stadium is an outdoor venue for many sports in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park at Stratford, in the Lower Lea Valley of east London, some 10 km from the center of the city. It was built for the Olympics and Paralympics of 2012, where athletics took place and the opening and closing ceremonies were staged. After the Games it was remade for multipurpose use. West Ham United became the anchor tenant from the 2016 season and is the principal user; UK Athletics is the other tenant.

Land was prepared from mid-2007, and construction formally began on May 22, 2008. At the Olympic and Paralympic Games it accommodated 80,000 people. A remodel between 2013 and 2015 produced 66,000 seats, though football is capped at 60,000 by the lease. The site was industrial land, lying between the City Mill River, the Old Pudding Mill River and the River Lea, parts of the Bow Back Rivers.

Two bidding rounds followed the Games. Legal cases and a state-aid complaint to the European Commission held up the first; the second kept the stadium publicly owned and looked for an anchor tenant rather than a buyer. In October 2012 the park and stadium went to the London Legacy Development Corporation, which ran the venue through E20 Stadium LLP, a subsidiary it formed with Newham Council.
