Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Fan roof and standing seams

One curved skin sweeps up from the straight south eave to a crest and falls away north, with standing seams running lengthwise. Full detail on a large print keeps the seams apart; at small size Print friendly leaves the sweep alone.

  2. Canopy on slender columns

A thin canopy blade runs along the east front on slim columns and wraps the north end, with a deep fascia edge. Those columns are the finest parts of the model; a larger print or 0.12 mm layers holds them best.

  3. One piece with the ground

National Indoor Stadium is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. National Indoor Stadium takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About National Indoor Stadium

The National Indoor Stadium is an arena at Olympic Green, in the Chaoyang district of Beijing, China. It is nicknamed the Fan, and also Folding Fan, since its design resembles a traditional Chinese folding fan. The building holds 20,000 people and it was put up for the 2008 Summer Olympics.

Glöckner³ designed the arena together with BIAD, the Beijing Institute of Architectural Design, having won an international architectural competition for the job in October 2003; Cox Architecture had been engaged as design consultants before that. Construction began in May 2005, and the doors opened on November 26, 2007, with an artistic gymnastics test event. The hall is used for basketball too.

At the 2008 Summer Olympics the arena hosted artistic gymnastics, trampolining and handball. It went on to serve for sports competitions, cultural and entertainment events. It doubles as an exercise center used by people who live in the area, and in 2015 it held the women's world ice hockey championship. Ice hockey came back for the 2022 Winter Olympics and Paralympics.
