National Stadium, Karachi in 3D
The landmark on its own, at its size on a 160 mm print. Print friendly thickens thin parts for a 0.4 mm nozzle; Full detail keeps every part.
- On a 160 mm print
- 19 mm
- Scale
- 1:3,750
19 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Scalloped roof waves
The model's roof is a curved band of shallow membrane crests over the horseshoe stands. Full detail keeps the thin front eave and radial ribs; Print friendly simplifies them, and a larger print shows the wave rhythm best.
- Open colonnade and lamp masts
Two-level open bays wrap the outside, with tall gridded floodlight heads above. Print slowly with good cooling for the masts, and use 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers to keep the colonnade openings clean.
- One piece with the ground
National Stadium, Karachi is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. National Stadium, Karachi takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About National Stadium, Karachi
The National Stadium in Karachi, Sindh, is an international cricket ground that the Pakistan Cricket Board owns. The Karachi Kings of the Pakistan Super League play there, along with other domestic sides from Sindh. The Pakistan team's Test record at the ground is remarkable, and the ground is called the fortress of Pakistan cricket.
Constructed during the early 1950s under the guidance of senior civil engineers Abdul Rasheed Khan and Kafiluddin, the ground was formally inaugurated in April 1955. Pakistan and India played its first first-class match on April 20–24, 1955. In October 2022, the PCB and the National Bank of Pakistan agreed a five-year naming-rights agreement.
Memorable moments at the ground include Mohammad Yousuf's ninth century of the year, a record, and Viv Richards' innings of 181 against Sri Lanka during the 1987 Cricket World Cup. Kamran Akmal also made a century against India in 2006, after Pakistan had fallen to 39 for 6, before a come-from-behind win.
