9 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Scalloped roof edge
The front of the roof is a row of small vault ends with a scalloped rim, and the ribs run back under it. Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep the lunettes from merging into a wavy band.
- End towers and blade fins
Each end carries a slender post with thin cantilevered cabin slabs and a tall flat blade above. Print friendly adapts them at small scales; print slowly for these tall, thin parts.
- One piece with the ground
The Stade Chaban-Delmas is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Stade Chaban-Delmas takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Stade Chaban-Delmas
Bordeaux, in France, is where the Stade Chaban-Delmas stands. Its home football club was FC Girondins de Bordeaux, and since 2011 it has also staged Top 14 rugby for Union Bordeaux Bègles. Until 2001 it was known as the Stade du Parc Lescure; that year it was renamed after Jacques Chaban-Delmas, a Resistance fighter and politician who led Bordeaux as mayor from 1947 to 1995.
The ground was first laid out in 1924 as a track for cycle racing and was reworked in 1935 for the coming 1938 FIFA World Cup. Rebuilt in Art déco style by Jacques d'Welles and Raoul Jourde, it opened on June 12, 1938. It was the first ground anywhere whose stands were entirely covered with no pillar in the way of the view. It is classified as a historic building, and its roof does not reach the seats added on the old cycle track after 1984.
Expansions, notably for the 1998 FIFA World Cup, have brought the seating capacity to 34,462. The record crowd, 40,211, came on April 24, 1985, for Girondins de Bordeaux against Juventus. The tunnel that leads from the locker rooms to the pitch runs close to 120 meters and is the longest in Europe.
About this model
The Stade Chaban-Delmas is one of more than 4,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
