16 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Slim floodlight masts
Thin floodlight masts rise around the oval. Printing slowly and letting layers cool helps these tall, thin parts, and Print friendly adapts them to the print scale.
- Stepped stands and small pavilions
Low curved stands step up around the field, and two small pavilions with finials sit nearby. Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep the steps distinct, and a larger print size keeps the pavilion detail.
- One piece with the ground
The Sydney Cricket Ground is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Sydney Cricket Ground takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Sydney Cricket Ground
The Sydney Cricket Ground, known as the SCG, is a stadium in Moore Park, a suburb of Sydney, and Venues NSW manages it. Its main sports are Australian rules football and cricket. Its tenants are the Sydney Swans (AFL), the Sydney Sixers (Big Bash League) and also the New South Wales cricket team (Sheffield Shield), and the Australian national cricket team plays there often. In the 20th century it was also the main venue for rugby union and for rugby league.
The British Army received part of the Sydney Common in 1851, to use for a garden and a cricket ground for its soldiers, and the ground opened in February 1854 as the Garrison Ground. It was dedicated in 1876 by Governor Sir Hercules Robinson, and it took the name Sydney Cricket Ground in 1894. The neighboring Moore Park, opened for public recreation in the late 1860s, was named after Charles Moore, the Mayor of Sydney.
When the first Sydney cricket test was played in February 1882, the ground had two grandstands, and two spectator mounds, The Hill and the Paddington Hill, stood opposite them. A concrete cycling track circled the inside of the ground in 1896, with floodlights added over it in 1898, and it was removed in 1920. A rugby league match between Australia and England drew 70,204 spectators in 1932, at the time the highest single-day attendance seen in Australia for any cricket or football match.
