Vikingskipet in 3D
The landmark on its own, at its size on a 160 mm print. Print friendly thickens thin parts for a 0.4 mm nozzle; Full detail keeps every part.

- Scale
- 1:3,750
11 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Ribbed hull roof
The ship-shaped roof is a long smooth curve with a row of small pointed supports along its lower edge. Print friendly keeps those points sturdy at small sizes; Full detail suits a larger print.
- One piece with the ground
Vikingskipet is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Vikingskipet takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Vikingskipet
Vikingskipet, meaning "The Viking Ship", has the official name Hamar Olympic Hall. Found in Hamar, Norway, it is an indoor arena for sport and other events, constructed to serve as the speed skating venue of the 1994 Winter Olympics. The name comes from the roof, whose shape resembles a Viking ship's keel, and the building was planned as the main landmark of Hamar.
Niels Torp and Biong & Biong designed the arena, and it opened on December 19, 1992. Construction came to 230 million Norwegian krone. Its location at Åkervika, a Ramsar site, was controversial. At its opening it ranked as the world's largest indoor sports venue.
The floor spans 25,000 square meters, or 270,000 square feet, and the rink measures 400 meters (1,300 ft) in length. The hall holds 10,600 spectators for sports and 20,000 for concerts. It hosts ISU Speed Skating World Cup races and world championships, and has also staged the World Rally Championship, the Speedway Grand Prix and the UCI Track Cycling World Championships.
