223 m of 1600 Smith Street, 60 mm on your shelf
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Faceted crown on a slim shaft
The eight-sided crown sits on a slender, tall shaft. Print friendly adapts the thinnest parts to your print scale; Full detail suits a large print. Print slowly so the tall shaft stays steady.
- Dense window grid
The shaft is covered in rows of small window openings. A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm keeps these crisp, and a larger print size keeps more of them.
- One piece with the ground
1600 Smith Street is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. 1600 Smith Street takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About 1600 Smith Street
1600 Smith Street is a 51-story office tower in Downtown Houston, Texas, rising 223 m (732 ft). It was previously named Continental Center I, and it is also known as Cullen Center Plaza. The tower belongs to the Cullen Center complex and was completed in 1984. It is a postmodern-style building, and it provides Class "A" offices with about 1,098,399 sq ft of rentable space.
Morris Architects was the design architect. Linbeck Construction Company served as general contractor, I.A. Naman as mechanical engineer and CBM Engineers as structural engineer. Continental Airlines had its headquarters in the tower until the carrier merged with United Airlines in 2010. ExpressJet Airlines also had its headquarters there at one point.
The airline's arrival followed an announcement in September 1997 that Continental would gather its Houston headquarters operations into Continental Center I, along with Continental Center II. It planned to relocate roughly 3,200 employees in phases, starting in July 1998 and finishing in January 1999.
