228 m of 25 Martin Place, 62 mm on your shelf
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Octagonal shaft and corner columns
The tower's octagonal plan and eight corner columns give the shaft a strong vertical line. Print friendly adapts the window bands; a larger print keeps the corner edges sharper.
- A tall, slender print
The tower is much taller than its podium and neighbors. Slow the print as it rises, with good cooling, and use 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers to keep the top floors crisp.
- One piece with the ground
25 Martin Place is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. 25 Martin Place takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About 25 Martin Place
The skyscraper at 25 Martin Place stands in Sydney, Australia, and was known as the MLC Centre for some 45 years. Its owner, Dexus, dropped that name in 2021 and markets the building by its street address. Harry Seidler designed it, and it stands 228 meters (748 ft) tall with 67 storeys. It is still counted among his most definitive works.
The tower is a stark white modernist column on an octagonal floor plan, with eight large load-bearing columns at the corners that taper slightly as they rise. The building ranks among the tallest reinforced concrete buildings in the world, and at its completion it ranked among the tallest buildings then standing outside North America. For nine years it was Australia's tallest building, until the Rialto Towers in Melbourne took the title in 1986.
Construction was controversial because the project required tearing down, in 1971 and 1972, the 19th-century Australia Hotel, along with the Theatre Royal and the Commercial Travellers Club. The contractor was Civil & Civic, and the Governor-General, Sir Zelman Cowen, opened the building in September 1978. Its podium holds a shopping center and the 1,186-seat Theatre Royal, and the building received the 1983 Sir John Sulman Medal.
