3 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Preserve the small roof fittings
Thin railings and small pointed fittings sit above the flat roofs. Use Print friendly at smaller sizes to adapt these features, or choose a larger print with Full detail to retain them.
- Keep the facade detail crisp
The central tower and long wings carry closely spaced window and wall details. A larger print gives these features more room; use 0.12–0.16 mm layers to keep the vertical detail crisp.
- One piece with the ground
The Akron Fulton Airport Administration Building is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Akron Fulton Airport Administration Building takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Akron Fulton Airport Administration Building
The administration building at Akron Fulton International Airport is a historic terminal in Akron, Ohio, north of the airport's runways and the Goodyear Airdock. Akron's City Council approved its construction in 1930. Work was finished the following year, and the terminal opened on June 15, 1931. Its architecture reflects the early expansion of commercial air travel during the 1920s and 1930s.
Art Deco design defines the terminal, whose facade combines cream brick with terra cotta details in cream, muted orange, and soft green. The City Beautiful movement influenced both the site's arrangement and the terminal's position. The original approach passed through a landscaped traffic circle; a parking area arranged like a boulevard, with rows of trees, led to the building at its end.
Commercial flights used the terminal until 1962, the year Akron–Canton Airport opened farther south. Customs and administration offices continued handling Canadian traffic and small aircraft into the early 1990s. After a sale, the terminal became the Italian restaurant Cafe Piscatelli, which closed on August 26, 2005. A further reuse made it a facility for Theken Companies. The building's National Register of Historic Places listing dates to December 21, 2001.
