About Al Thumama Stadium
Al Thumama Stadium is a football stadium in Doha, Qatar. It sits in the Al Thumama district, around 13 km (8.1 mi) to the south of the city center. It is one of eight stadiums built, renovated, or reconstructed for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, and it stands near Hamad International Airport.
Its architect, Ibrahim Jaidah, chief architect of the Arab Engineering Bureau, took inspiration from the taqiyah, a cap traditional across the Middle East for men and boys. Al Jaber Engineering (Qatar) and Tekfen Construction (Turkey) formed a joint venture that took a significant part in the construction. In May 2018 the design received the Future Project Award from MIPIM and Architectural Review, in the category for Sports and Stadiums.
The stadium seats 40,000 and opened in October 2021, hosting the Emir Cup Final on its opening day. It then staged six games in the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup, including a semi-final between hosts Qatar and Algeria, eight World Cup matches in 2022, and six games of the 2023 AFC Asian Cup.
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

- Patterned facade band
- A band of small diamond-like patterns wraps the lower facade. Fine patterns fade at small print sizes; Full detail keeps more of them on a larger print, and 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers help.
- Wide, low ring
- The stadium is a broad, low ring with a roof rim. Print friendly adapts thin edges to the print scale.
- One piece with the ground
- Al Thumama Stadium is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Al Thumama Stadium takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

Common questions
Is there an Al Thumama Stadium STL I can download?
Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.
How big can I print it?
Any print size from 40 mm across. Al Thumama Stadium grows with the print: about 13 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.
Is it free?
Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
