Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Five towers with domes

The five towers are topped with domes, which are fine details. A larger print keeps them; "Print friendly" adapts them at small sizes, and "Full detail" suits a fine nozzle.

  2. One piece with the ground

The Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Paris is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Paris takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Paris

The Alexander Nevsky Cathedral is a Russian Orthodox cathedral church at 12 Rue Daru, in Paris's 8th arrondissement. In 1816, a small oratory on Rue de Berri was Paris's first Russian Orthodox church. A larger church became necessary as the Russian immigrant community grew. Alexander II, the Czar, contributed 200,000 French francs; his patron saint was Alexander Nevsky. Roman Kouzmine, the architect in chief for the Russian imperial Court, led the work from 1859, with the chief engineer Strohm. Consecrated in 1861, it was France's first Russian Orthodox house of worship.

Its builder called the exterior style "Byzantine Muscovite". The plan follows a Byzantine Greek cross, and a pediment shaped as a semicircle carries a mosaic of Christ giving a blessing. What is distinctly Russian is a cluster of five bell towers, standing for Christ and the four evangelists. Gilded, bulb-shaped domes cap the towers, said to symbolize the flames of candles carried by worshippers, and the central tower carries a Russian Orthodox cross.

The interior plan takes after the Hagia Sophia, the basilica in Constantinople, and the walls are decorated with paintings, gilding and polychrome decoration. The iconostasis, a screen with three portals, separates the altar area from the nave. A crypt, called the "Lower Church", lies below and is dedicated to the Holy Trinity. Pablo Picasso and Olga Khokhlova were married here on July 12, 1918.
