13 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Long facade and columns
An Empire-style theater model carries its detail along a long front. Print friendly detail adapts the columns and cornice; Full detail is better for a large print or a fine nozzle.
- Wide footprint
The building is wide and low, so roof and entrance details shrink quickly at small sizes. Use 0.12–0.16 mm layers and, if possible, a larger print.
- One piece with the ground
The Alexandrinsky Theatre is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Alexandrinsky Theatre takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Alexandrinsky Theatre
The Alexandrinsky Theatre is a theater in Saint Petersburg, Russia, constructed for Petersburg's Imperial troupe, which was founded in 1756. Since 1832 it has occupied an Empire-style building designed by Carlo Rossi. It stands on Ostrovsky Square, on Nevsky Prospekt, with the National Library of Russia on one side and Anichkov Palace on the other.
Carlo Rossi's building was constructed between 1828 and 1832, and the theater opened on September 12, 1832. Empress consort Alexandra Feodorovna gave both the theater and the square their names. The building forms part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Dramas, operas and ballets were staged there in the Imperial era, and from the 1880s the house turned toward drama and tragedy. Works by Chekhov, Griboyedov and Ostrovsky premiered on its stage, and directors including Vsevolod Meyerhold and Georgy Tovstonogov worked there. The theater reopened on August 30, 2006, after a reconstruction.
