99 m of the American Insurance Company Building, 27 mm on your shelf
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- A six-column entrance
The entrance has six freestanding columns and a triangular pediment. Print friendly adapts these small parts; Full detail keeps them, better for a larger print with 0.12–0.16 mm layers.
- A stepped crown and dome
The tower narrows through setbacks to a lantern, drum and small dome. A larger print and fine layers keep those upper steps and the finial legible.
- One piece with the ground
The American Insurance Company Building is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The American Insurance Company Building takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the American Insurance Company Building
One of Newark's oldest and tallest skyscrapers, the American Insurance Company Building stands in Essex County, New Jersey, United States. Its address is 15 Washington Street, on Washington Park. The American Insurance Company used it as its headquarters, and it later passed to Rutgers University. That neo-classical tower counts as a contributing property within the James Street Commons Historic District.
The company's new home office was finished in 1930. The tower rises sixteen stories and reaches 326 ft (99 m). Inside is a great hall whose ceilings reach 20 ft (6.1 m), with windows 15 ft (4.6 m) high. John H. & Wilson C. Ely, a father and son practice, designed the building; the same firm worked on Newark City Hall and the National Newark Building.
The company was incorporated on February 20, 1846, and began business on April 1, 1846. Fireman's Fund acquired it in 1963, and in 1977 Fireman's Fund donated the building to Rutgers University. The Newhouse Center for Law and Justice occupied it from 1979 to 1999. In November 2015 it reopened with student dorms, event space and a chancellor's apartment, and in 2023 the building was named for Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
