Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. A long museum print

A long building reads best at a larger print size, where its roofline and the ends of the building stay distinct. Below that, Print friendly adapts the smallest parts to the scale.

  2. One piece with the ground

The Australian Museum is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Australian Museum takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Australian Museum

The Australian Museum is a public museum of the state of New South Wales, in Sydney, Australia, and the state government runs and funds it as a cultural institution. Its origins go back to 1827, making it Australia's oldest natural history museum and the fifth oldest of its kind in the world. The museum was first conceived as a European-style encyclopedic warehouse of culture and natural history, and its collections cover vertebrate and invertebrate zoology, mineralogy, paleontology and anthropology. The scientist Gerard Krefft built its scientific reputation as curator in the 1860s.

In 1821 the Philosophical Society of Australasia drew up the first plan for a museum, but that body collected some specimens and then folded in 1822. Earl Bathurst, then Secretary of State for the Colonies, founded the museum in 1827; he wrote to New South Wales's governor of his plan for a public museum and provided £200 a year toward its upkeep. Early names were the Colonial Museum and the Sydney Museum, and in June 1836 it became the Australian Museum. A collection of Australian curiosities has since grown to more than 21 million objects of cultural and scientific value.

The museum also does research and takes part in community programs beyond its galleries and temporary exhibitions. Its Lizard Island research station, in the Great Barrier Reef, has operated since 1973, studying coral reef ecology and climate change effects. The Australian Museum Research Institute, created in 2013, serves as the hub for its Sydney researchers.

About this model

The Australian Museum is one of more than 4,400 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
