30 m of Baitun Nur Mosque, 9 mm on your shelf
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Thin towers and domes
Thin towers and domes are the delicate parts of a mosque model. Print slowly with good cooling, and use a layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm to keep them crisp.
- One piece with the ground
Baitun Nur Mosque is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Baitun Nur Mosque takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Baitun Nur Mosque
The Ahmadiyya mosque Baitun Nur, Urdu for "House of Light", stands in the Castleridge community of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Its cornerstone was laid in 2005, and the building was finished in 2008. The estimated cost of C$15 million was self-funded; roughly C$8 million of it was raised from about 3,000 local Ahmadi Muslims. It held the title of Canada's largest mosque in 2008, and the grand opening, held July 5, 2008, drew 5,000 guests.
Naseer Ahmad and Manu Chugh Architects designed the mosque, the seventh Ahmadiyya mosque Ahmad had designed. The complex measures 4,500 m2, or 48,000 sq ft. The most prominent outside features are a steel dome and a steel-capped minaret tower 97 feet (30 m) tall. Around the outside are written 99 Arabic words, each naming an attribute of Allah's character from the Qur'an. Besides worship space, the complex has classrooms, offices, an area for children, a kitchen and a community center.
About this model
Baitun Nur Mosque is one of more than 5,500 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Each model is written as code from public descriptions, plans, photographs and aerial views used only as references; no image or third-party model is copied into it. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. Rights in the building itself, its name and any brands on it are not granted by Mini Skyline; clear them separately before you sell prints. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
