About Calgary
Calgary, in southwestern Alberta, is the province's largest city. It sits where the Bow River meets the Elbow River, in a transitional area between the Canadian Prairies and the Rocky Mountain Foothills, about 80 kilometers (50 miles) east of the Canadian Rockies' front ranges. In 2021 the city proper had 1,306,784 residents, which made it the third-largest city in Canada. Edmonton, the provincial capital, lies 280 km (170 mi) to the north. Calgary's economy spans energy, financial services, film and television, technology, manufacturing, aerospace and tourism, and among Canada's 800 largest corporations, Greater Calgary has the second-highest number of head offices.
The site became a North-West Mounted Police post in the fall of 1875, and Fort Calgary was officially established in spring 1876. Colonel James Macleod suggested the name, which comes from Calgary Castle on Scotland's Isle of Mull. The Canadian Pacific Railway arrived on August 15, 1883, building a station on its own Section 15; the core of the townsite moved there, and the railway subdivided the land and began selling lots. No other municipality in Western Canada has more skyscrapers than Downtown Calgary, and the city hosted the 1988 Olympic Winter Games.

Common questions
Are these Calgary landmark models free?
Yes. All 4 models on this page are free. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
Can I download Calgary landmark STL files?
Mini Skyline builds each file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.
How tall do the Calgary landmarks print?
On the default 160 mm print they stand between about 3 and 64 mm tall. Each landmark grows with the print size, and Make this print opens the generator with its area already selected. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.
