4 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- A small station model
The station is a low building in a wide scene, so a larger print helps keep it readable. Print friendly adapts its small details to the print scale.
- Thin layers for low walls
Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep the low walls crisp, and slower printing helps the smaller details.
- One piece with the ground
Berlin Hermannstraße station is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Berlin Hermannstraße station takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Berlin Hermannstraße station
Hermannstraße is a station on Berlin's S-Bahn and U-Bahn networks, in the Neukölln district. S-Bahn services S41, S42, S45, S46 and S47 stop there, and it is the southern terminus of U-Bahn line U8. The Neukölln-Mittenwalde railway line that once connected here carries only goods traffic. The station stands beneath a bridge over the S-Bahn cutting on Hermannstraße.
The Berlin Ringbahn's first segment opened on November 15, 1877, with passenger service beginning on January 1, 1878. The station itself opened on February 1, 1899, one of the suburban stops added when the ring line grew to four tracks. For 29 years steam trains served the station. Electrification began in 1924, and the Ringbahn was fully incorporated on November 6, 1928.
A complete rebuilding placed the station in a new position beneath the bridge, and almost nothing of the historic building survives. Blue and green paint on its two entrance buildings points to the interchange between the S-Bahn and U8. The U-Bahn station opened on July 13, 1996, as the 168th station in the Berlin U-Bahn system, and was designed by Rainer Rümmler.
