Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Long, low massing

The opera house reads as a long, low block. At the default print size, Print friendly keeps the small edges clean; Full detail suits a larger print.

  2. One piece with the ground

The Berlin State Opera is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Berlin State Opera takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Berlin State Opera

The Staatsoper Unter den Linden, called the Berlin State Opera in English, occupies a listed building on the Unter den Linden boulevard in Berlin's historic center. It was built for King Frederick the Great between 1741 and 1743, following designs by Georg Wenzeslaus von Knobelsdorff that were carried out in the Palladian style. The house first carried the name Königliche Oper, meaning Royal Opera. The north and west facades directly copy elevations that Colen Campbell designed at Stourhead and Wanstead. The building counts as an early work of the Palladian revival in Germany.

Allied bombing in World War II damaged the former royal opera house, which was rebuilt between 1951 and 1955 within East Berlin's Forum Fridericianum square. Its nickname is Lindenoper, and the building has been described as the world's oldest state opera. It has also been called the first theater anywhere to stand by itself as a prominent, freestanding building in a city.
