Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Crowded turrets and roofs

Conical turrets, steep gables and chimneys crowd the upper castle. Print friendly adapts small pointed parts to the print scale; Full detail keeps them on larger prints, and 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers keep the points crisp.

  2. Arcaded tower top

The square tower ends in a crenellated, arcaded top under a small pyramid roof. A larger print size keeps the crenellations separate, and slower printing on the last layers keeps the roof tip clean.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Bran Castle takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About Bran Castle

Bran Castle is a castle in the village of Bran, 25 km (16 mi) southwest of Brașov in Romania. Saxons built it in 1377, having received the privilege from Louis I of Hungary. It is both a national monument and a landmark of Transylvania, and it sits on the Transylvanian side of the old border with Wallachia.

The first documented mention is an act that Louis I of Hungary issued on November 19, 1377, allowing the Saxons of Kronstadt (modern Brașov), to build a stone castle, paying for it and supplying the labor themselves. In 1438–1442 it was used to defend against the Ottoman Empire, and afterward it served as a customs post on the pass between Transylvania and Wallachia. It was built almost exclusively to fortify and protect German colonists in Transylvania, and it played a strategic military role until the mid-18th century.

After the 1920 Treaty of Trianon, the castle became a royal residence in the Kingdom of Romania. Marie of Romania made it her favorite home and retreat and ordered an extensive renovation, which the Czech architect Karel Zdeněk Líman carried out. It is a museum with collections of art and furniture that Queen Marie gathered. Abroad, it is promoted as "Dracula's Castle," the home of the title character of Bram Stoker's novel Dracula, yet nothing shows that Stoker knew of the castle, and its link to Vlad the Impaler is only tangential.
