25 m of the Burana Tower, 7 mm on your shelf
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Tapering brick shaft
The shaft narrows steadily from a broad base, and its brick belts are shallow relief. Print larger, or use Full detail, so those bands stay readable.
- Offset spiral stair
A spiral staircase stands apart from the tower on a short bridge. Give the thin treads and rails a fine layer height and print slowly for strength.
- One piece with the ground
The Burana Tower is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Burana Tower takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Burana Tower
The Burana Tower stands in Kyrgyzstan's Chüy Valley, in the north of the country, near Tokmok and about 80 km east of Bishkek. It counts among Central Asia's oldest surviving buildings. The tower, grave markers, earthworks and the ruin of a castle and three mausoleums are what survives of Balasagun, a Karakhanid city founded at the close of the 9th century. Construction dates to the 11th century, and other minarets took it as a model.
The tower once stood 45 m (148 ft) high. Earthquakes damaged it repeatedly, and the last major one, which struck during the 15th century, removed its upper half and left the structure at its present 25 m (82 ft). A renovation in the 1970s restored the foundation and repaired the side facing west, which was at risk of collapse. A staircase outside and a steep stairway within lead visitors up.
Across the whole site, mausoleums, castle foundations and grave markers form a museum. A small building there displays historical information and objects recovered at the site and in the wider region, giving visitors context for the ruins. The tower and these remains from Balasagun together make up the museum grounds.
