About Carver High School
George Washington Carver High School, which stood in Phoenix, Arizona, was first named Phoenix Union Colored High School. It was set up to serve African American students at a time when schools were segregated, and its building went up in 1926. It was the only school building in Arizona constructed solely for African American high school students. Phoenix architects Fitzhugh and Byron drew up the plans.
Its site had been a four-acre landfill and was ringed by warehouses, and the school board bought the land in 1925. Some people protested the location at first because it lay near industrial and contaminated areas. The building was remodeled and enlarged in 1948, with new shop facilities and a 1,000-seat stadium.
The National Register of Historic Places listed the site in 1991. A group of alumni, the Phoenix Monarchs Alumni Association, bought the property in 1996, and the building later became a museum and cultural center that bears the name of George Washington Carver. Phoenix added the campus to its Historic Property Register in March 2017.
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
| Print size | Landmark height | Scale |
|---|---|---|
| 160 mm default | 3 mm | 1:3,750 |
| 200 mm | 4 mm | 1:3,000 |

- Small windows along the front
- Rows of small windows and door details cover the long front. Print friendly adapts them to the print scale; Full detail keeps them, which suits larger prints and 0.12–0.16 mm layers.
- Low, wide building
- The school stays low, with a stepped roofline and a few small rooftop details. A bigger print size keeps those details from blurring together.
- One piece with the ground
- Carver High School is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Carver High School takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

Common questions
Is there a Carver High School STL I can download?
Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.
How big can I print it?
Any print size from 40 mm across. Carver High School grows with the print: about 3 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.
Is it free?
Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
