12 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Print this church a little larger
At the default size, a larger print or the Full detail setting keeps the domes and the rest of the upper stages distinct. Layers of 0.12–0.16 mm help the vertical edges stay crisp.
- One piece with the ground
The Cathedral of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Cathedral of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Cathedral of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God
The Cathedral of the Vladimir Icon is a Russian Orthodox cathedral on Vladimirsky Prospect in Saint Petersburg, dedicated to Our Lady of Vladimir. The present five-domed church was built beside Vladimirsky Market between 1761 and 1769, and its design is often credited to Pietro Antonio Trezzini. The architecture sits between Baroque and Neoclassical styles, and the avenue is named for the church.
Two stories make up the building, and the lower church belongs to Saint John Damascene. A separate belfry in mature Neoclassical style was built in 1791 to Quarenghi's plans, while the portico, chapel, fence and outbuildings came in the 19th century. Inside is an elaborate Baroque iconostasis moved from the chapel of the Anichkov Palace in 1808. Fyodor Dostoevsky was its most famous parishioner. The church closed in 1932, returned to the Orthodox Church in 1989, and became a cathedral in 2000.
