Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Tall tower, slow printing

A tall tower is one of the slimmest parts of a city print. Printing slowly with good cooling helps, and Print friendly adapts thin parts and details to the scale.

  2. One piece with the ground

CenterPoint Energy Plaza is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. CenterPoint Energy Plaza takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About CenterPoint Energy Plaza

CenterPoint Energy Plaza, also called CenterPoint Energy Tower and formerly Houston Industries Plaza, is a building in downtown Houston that stands 226 m (741 ft) tall. The original building was finished in 1974 and stood 198 m (651 ft) high. A 27 m (90-foot) extension came with a 1996 renovation by Richard Keating, who also designed the nearby Wells Fargo Tower. The renovation changed the building and the Houston skyline dramatically.

Around 1995 the owners added a circle-shaped canopy five stories tall, because a business competitor down the street had a taller building. Houston Chronicle writer Clifford Pugh observed that the canopy, meant to resemble a lantern, looks more like a hovering spaceship when lit at night.

In earlier years the tower served as home base for Houston Industries and its subsidiary Houston Lighting & Power. Houston Industries became Reliant Energy in 1999, and Reliant moved out in 2003 to the new Reliant Energy Plaza, leaving vacant space of 37,000 m2 (more than 400,000 square feet). The building holds the headquarters of CenterPoint Energy.

About this model

CenterPoint Energy Plaza is one of more than 5,500 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Each model is written as code from public descriptions, plans, photographs and aerial views used only as references; no image or third-party model is copied into it. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. Rights in the building itself, its name and any brands on it are not granted by Mini Skyline; clear them separately before you sell prints. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
