Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. A long, low glass hall

The building is long and low, so its outline carries most of its character rather than its height. Print it larger if you want the glass walls to read, and use 0.12–0.16 mm layers for clean vertical faces.

  2. One piece with the ground

Christ Cathedral (Garden Grove, California) is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Christ Cathedral (Garden Grove, California) takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About Christ Cathedral (Garden Grove, California)

Christ Cathedral in Garden Grove, California, is a Catholic church building that started out as the Crystal Cathedral. In 2019 it became the Diocese of Orange's cathedral. Philip Johnson/John Burgee Architects designed the Modern-style building, whose reflective glass walls enclose seating for 2,248 people. It has been described as the world's largest glass building, and it holds the Hazel Wright Organ, one of the world's largest musical instruments.

Crystal Cathedral Ministries, a Reformed Church in America congregation that Robert H. Schuller founded in 1955, built it. Construction ran from 1977 to 1980 and cost $18 million. The church measured 415 feet long, 215 feet wide and 128 feet high, and carried a beacon for aircraft on top. The 10,000 rectangular glass panes, reflective outside and transparent inside, were glued to the frame with a silicone-based adhesive. The church was designed by its architects to survive a magnitude 8.0 earthquake.

The ministry's Hour of Power television program was broadcast from the church each week. After filing for bankruptcy protection, the ministry sold the building and its campus for $57.5 million in February 2012 to the Diocese of Orange. A two-year renovation followed to fit the Catholic liturgy, and on July 17, 2019 it was consecrated as Christ Cathedral.
