Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Two slender shafts

Both towers are tall and narrow, so the shafts are where a print can go wrong. Print slowly with good cooling so they stay straight, and keep layer height at 0.12–0.16 mm so the edges stay crisp.

  2. Facade grid at size

Glass towers carry a lot of small facade detail. Choose Full detail and print larger if you want it to survive, or let Print friendly simplify it at a small size.

  3. One piece with the ground

The Federation Tower is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Federation Tower takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Federation Tower

The Federation Tower is a two-skyscraper complex in Moscow, Russia. It occupies lot 13 of the Moscow International Business Center, and both towers rise from a single podium. They take their names from their positions: Tower East, or Vostok, and Tower West, or Zapad. Of the pair, Tower East is taller; no building in Moscow rises higher, and only the Lakhta Center overtops it among skyscrapers in Europe and Russia. The lot covers 439,154 square meters.

Sergei Tchoban, a German-Russian engineer, conceived the project with Peter Schweger, a German professor and engineer. The design came from nps+partner and Schweger Associated Architects. Construction began in 2005 and Tower West finished first, in 2008, at 242 meters (794 feet). The Great Recession then brought work to a halt until August 2011. Tower East was completed on December 7, 2017, at 374 meters (1,227 feet), having overtaken the South Tower of OKO in late 2014 as the tallest skyscraper in Russia and Europe.

A spire was planned that would have lifted the complex to 450 meters (1,480 feet) and added an observation deck; it was never finished and was taken down. Tower East rises 97 stories, Tower West 63. The owner is the AEON Corporation; it is a Russian private international investment group, and the buildings sit inside a rectangle of three alleys and a driveway.
