5 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Crisp edges on a simple block
The building reads as a simple block with straight edges. A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm keeps those edges clean, and a larger print size helps the facade stay sharp.
- Print larger for facade detail
If the facade detail begins to merge at a small size, print the model larger rather than switching to Full detail. Slow printing also helps the thin edges.
- One piece with the ground
The Fondation Suisse — Pavillon Le Corbusier is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Fondation Suisse — Pavillon Le Corbusier takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Fondation Suisse — Pavillon Le Corbusier
The Fondation Suisse, also called the Pavillon Le Corbusier, stands in Paris at the Cité Internationale Universitaire. Le Corbusier designed it in 1930–31 with Pierre Jeanneret to house Swiss students. The building pairs a single-story section with a four-story slab raised on piloti, and it brings together the key ideas of his 1920s work. It is a university dormitory built for Swiss students and a classified historical monument, designated in 1986.
The Committee of Swiss Universities gave the commission to Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret without a competition, and the two architects first refused it. They accepted when the Swiss universities insisted and threw themselves into the work, building the pavilion on a budget that the president of the Cité Universitaire called only half-sufficient. The project was built under exceptionally difficult circumstances and became a laboratory of modern architecture, where dry-wall construction and acoustic separation were worked out.
