About the Graceland Wedding Chapel

The Graceland Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada, is where many celebrity couples have married. It is among the city's oldest wedding chapels, and it says it was the first chapel to hold weddings performed by Elvis impersonators. This small building is New England in style, complete with a white picket fence, and it holds 30 people. Its film and television credits include 90 Day Fiancé (2020), The Amazing Race 15 (2009), Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, from 1998, and Fools Rush In (1997).

The building began life in 1927 as a private residence. It has been a wedding chapel since 1939 at the latest, when its owner, Ollie McKee, began performing ceremonies. In the early 1940s it went by the name Gretna Green Wedding Chapel, after the Scottish wedding destination of that name. Elvis Presley visited in 1967, when he was planning to marry Priscilla Beaulieu. Frommer's reports that Presley personally allowed the owners to use the Graceland name, though the chapel was actually renamed only after his death, the same year Elvis-themed weddings started there.

How it prints

Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

Landmark height and scale at three print sizes
Print size Landmark height Scale
160 mm default 3 mm 1:3,750
200 mm 3 mm 1:3,000
256 mm 4 mm 1:2,344

Slim spire and sign post
A slim spire tops the tower, and a thin sign post stands by the entrance. Print slowly with good cooling, and use Print friendly to adapt thin parts to the print scale.
Tiny roof and wall lines
This is a small building, so its roof shingles and horizontal board lines are tiny. A larger print size keeps them, and layers of 0.12–0.16 mm keep them crisp.
One piece with the ground
The Graceland Wedding Chapel is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Graceland Wedding Chapel takes the building color.
File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
