Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Hotel front at print scale

For a hotel front like this, print larger to keep the roofline and wall edges sharp. Use 0.12–0.16 mm layers to keep the vertical detail crisp.

  2. One piece with the ground

The Grand Hotel Europe is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Grand Hotel Europe takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Grand Hotel Europe

The Grand Hotel Europe is a historic five-star hotel on Nevsky Prospect in St. Petersburg. It was built between 1873 and 1875 to designs by the Swiss-Russian architect Ludwig Fontana and opened on February 9, 1875. Russia still used the Julian calendar then, so some records give the opening as January 28.

From 1907 to 1914 the interiors were remodeled by Fyodor Lidval in the Art Nouveau style. Leon Benois added work in the same period, including a decorative stained glass window and a dining-room ceiling. In the Soviet years it was known as the Hotel Evropeiskaya. It closed on January 5, 1989 for a complete restoration and reopened on December 21, 1991. Kempinski, a German chain, took over management on November 1, 1995, and the hotel took the name Grand Hotel Europe. Orient-Express Hotels bought the property on February 10, 2005 and was renamed Belmond Ltd. in 2014. It is listed as a regional cultural heritage site in Russia.
