Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. A long, low hall

The hall is long and low, so its roof line carries the shape at model scale. A larger print and layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep the roof edges crisp.

  2. Thin structural members

An iron-and-glass building has thin members that shrink at model scale. Full detail keeps every modeled part; Print friendly adapts thin parts to your print scale.

  3. One piece with the ground

The Grande Halle de la Villette is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Grande Halle de la Villette takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Grande Halle de la Villette

The Grande Halle de la Villette is a cultural center at Place de la Fontaine aux Lions, inside Parc de la Villette in Paris's 19th arrondissement. It began as the Grande Halle aux Boeufs, or Great Hall of Cattle, part of the city's main abattoir district. It hosts trade fairs, exhibitions and music festivals, and shows films outdoors.

Louis-Adolphe Janvier and Jules de Mérindol designed the hall, which went up between 1865 and 1867. Three market halls opened at La Villette in the 1860s, but only this one survives, kept for its architectural value. The other two halls are gone. Butchers nicknamed the district la Cité du Sang, or city of blood.

Cast iron and glass form the structure. The hall covers 20,000 square meters (220,000 sq ft), with a plan 250 meters (820 ft) long and 85 meters (279 ft) wide; three sides stand open, and the glass fourth side forms the entrance. Bernard Reichen and Philippe Robert restored it, François Mitterrand reopened the hall in January 1985, and another renovation came in 2005–2007.
