Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Guardhouse at small scale

At the default print size this is a small, low building, so its roof and facade edges are the first details to soften. Print larger or use Full detail, with layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm.

  2. One piece with the ground

The Hauptwache (Frankfurt am Main) is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Hauptwache (Frankfurt am Main) takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Hauptwache (Frankfurt am Main)

The Hauptwache is a plaza at the center of Frankfurt am Main, known in German as An der Hauptwache. It sits west of Konstablerwache, and the Zeil, the city's central shopping area, links the two squares. The square takes its name from a Baroque guardhouse built in 1730, while Frankfurt was still an independent city state. That building served as headquarters for the city's militia, held a prison, and stood in a space called Paradeplatz until 1864.

In 1833 the guardhouse was stormed during the Frankfurter Wachensturm, a failed action by a small revolutionary force. After Prussia annexed Frankfurt in 1866 and took over military duties, the building lost its military role. Its prison stayed in use and it took on the role of a police station as well. In 1904 it began a new life as a café. French troops fired on students protesting the French occupation there on April 7, 1920.

Bombing in World War II burned the building heavily, and it reopened in 1954 in provisional form with a changed roof. In 1967 it was dismantled and rebuilt above the new U-Bahn station. The plaza's sunken terrace leads down to shops and the transit station; local people know it as "das Loch" (the Hole).
